“Food Fairs-PMMC throws Burmese Traditional Food Fairs occasionally. We have Food Fairs occasionally at the PMMC, usually once a month. Once our new Meditation Centre is built, we will be conducting our Food Fairs regularly. The aim of having Food Fairs are to cover the cost of maintenance of the centre and for the devotees, who are looking forward to attaining Nibbana, by donating their hard-earned money towards the cause. Devotees can not only make monetary donation, but also render their personal precious time towards the Centre by cleaning up and maintaining the Centre’s premises. Also, devotees, who would like to donate money to the Centre, can cook whatever food they like and sell them at the Centre’s Food Fair and donate the proceeds from the sale towards the Centre.

Therefore, whoever comes to the Food Fair to fill up their tummies or to sell their foods, so as to be able to donate the proceeds from their sale towards the Centre, can share merits accrued from this Dhamma Dana and may these merits of our donors and devotees be a good path or condition for the attainment of Nibbana.”
